Pics of your trucks when you found them
So lets see some pics of your trucks when you found them, how long they were sitting for etc. I'll start off...its not a 67-72 but this is how I found my 55 GMC, sat in a field for 30 years....

Re: Pics of your trucks when you found them
It had been sitting for over 5 years in a body shop parking lot, 283 actually cranked after a little oiling. I was afraid that the body shop owner was going to want a little cash for storage, he didn't want cash just a 12 pack of Moosehead beer, so I bought him a case.

Re: Pics of your trucks when you found them
Took this pic when I was 5 years old, im almost 35 now. I played in it when i was a kid then dad gave it to me when i was 11. Started workin on it then and drove it when I was in HS and tore it down in 95 and got it as you see it in avatar in 2000. The pic in my avatar is same truck bout a year ago taken in almost same location behind the old barn.

Mine on the day I first saw it. It had sat for 6 years after the PO had a heart attack. The blue truck in my avatar is the same truck.

This is when I first borrowed it from grandpa about 10 years ago.
I inherited it last year and have done a little work. |

Re: Pics of your trucks when you found them
This is what my burb looked like when my Dad gave it to me.
He let it basically rot in an avocado orchard for years.

Re: Pics of your trucks when you found them
Heres my 72 GMC when I bought it, I thought the body was in good shape until I sanded all the paint off and found five gallons of Bondo.
Here is is a few moths later when I finished painting it. |

Re: Pics of your trucks when you found them
Its so nice to see all these before and after pics! Just think where all these trucks would be if we hadnt found them! It would be a shame to see them rotting away. Its amazing how well they all have turned out! They all get another 40+ years of life, by the looks of some of the restorations, their second life looks better than the first! Keep finding and fixing them!
