Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro

I think the original bolts used to secure the door latch were a #4 Phillips, not flat head.
Personally I am going to use Hex when I put mine back together because anything else is a pain in the arse.

Yes you are correct! My local hardware place didn't have the exact replacement. So I just said what the heck! Stainless! I put copper anti seize on everything going back in! And by summer I will probably buy some new ones with the correct hardware... But that stuff can nickle and dime you so fast it crazy! So for now? I'll make do!

Installed passenger side window! Roll down great. Need to do some adjusting on the driver side! My rubber's been in the back of my bed for weeks I decide to take a look at it and install my door rubber. Happen to look at my rear window rubber! Just my luck it's for the big back window. No biggie! Bought it locally! Change it out and install it! Glass will be complete! I love the smoke tint on this charcoal paint!

She wants her own! A pink one! If she don't change her mind as she gets older, we might just do that!

Nice job on the transmission removal. It's always a challenge getting the transmission pulled out when you have to do it alone.

It was actually easy with that jack, I borrowed from work. Getting to the bolts was the hard part. I'm hoping the install of the other is as easy! As soon as I get that installed I can get an accurate measurement to get my drive shaft cut and balanced!

Good to see you got the trans out safely! I remember doing that multiple times alone under my NBS with a 4l80e, not fun at all! At least you have a trans jack which comes in handy!

Amen to that! Number 3 graduates this year, then number 4 graduates 2 years after that, then I'm touring my Country instead of other people's countries.

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro

I need help! The only outside emblem, I left was the CHEVROLET Letter on the hood. Unfortunately the holes seem smaller or missing do to possible bondo and body work. Can anyone give me any pointers or a template to ensure correct placement on the letters. I know I may have to put tape on the holes and re drill them. The question I have, does all the letters come with 2 holes? I searched the forum, but no luck...

Another guy posted a picture for me in the question forum. I really need a template made. Would you be willing to make me a template lined from the bottom of the hood matching the holes. I would be willing to send you the postage. I figure with the remaining holes that I have left I can get a pretty good fit to drill the holes out. I'm innocent super rush! I won't be finished til summer.

For sure. I can do it in poster board and punch each hole. That way if you have a few you can line them up. Pm me your address, not worried about postage
