can someone please give me the gm part number for the kick down cable for a th350 in a 72 truck with a 350 engine any responses appreciated

i dont care about oem i just wanted the number to cross to an aftermarket number i cant find the damn thing anywhere local

GMC Paul has them for $34.95 and I am sure you can get them from other board vendors.

I bought mine at NAPA (sorry, don't have the part # handy). It was around $25.

I went the "high brow" route and got my setup from Lokar, but it's for a TH400. They have TH350 setups but neither is cheap. Looks cool though...don't know if this helps (probably not).

I can get one from a carb off of a 454 thats in the garage. It had a th400 behind it. Would you be interested in it? Wait werent th400 electric kick down..................Ill have to take another look at the bracket.

Yep, it's electrical where the TH350 is mechanical. The saving grace behind the Lokar setup is that it uses an electrical switch mounted down low near the transmission, so the actual actuating mechanism is a cable on the throttle linkage on the carb just like the TH350 setup. I've had people look at it completely confused until I showed them the switch I have mounted in the frame.

If Lokar has a setup for a TH350 (which I'm sure they do) it would be cheaper than mine because it wouldn't include the electrical switch (which is milled billet aluminum and VERY well made). I'd guess it would land somewhere in the $50-$60 range, where mine was closer to $100 (gulp).
