Re: new guy in V.A.

welcome! nice looking stepper ya got there. I'm sensing a little "hesitation" on folks' part about turn signal mods. And I share that sentiment. To me, the turn signals actually make so much of the look of these trucks that we love, that some mods might hurt that "look". But then again - I can't wait to see what you do too!!! If you're building a full-on custom, then it could look great. It's yours and only you can envision what you want, so go for it!

Re: new guy in V.A.

Welcome to the forum

I've seen a truck or two that didn't have the turn signals in the hood, but had them in the bumper. IMO it looked pretty good.....something different. I think if you could make them kind of 'stealth' looking, that might be cool. I do know there are some very small LED's available that are extremely bright. Something like that might work, although some of them are a bit spendy.

Re: new guy in V.A.

thanks for the comments guys just wanted to try something a little different.I agree with the signals making the look of these trucks.I just finished welding up the hood seams and started working on the signals got an idea to smooth the stock style signals and flush mount them instead of the stock recessed look.pics soon

Re: new guy in V.A.

Welcome to the forum. I've seen several hoods with the signals removed, but don't find it improves the appearance. Something custom replacing the lights could really look fantastic though. I'll look forward to seeing the result if you pursue the idea. I like the filled seams, really cleans up the hood.
