This truck is a stage.

Hey everyone. This is a stage at a festival I go to every year. I think it's a 54? 55?
They set it up every year and groups sign up and play. It's awesome. I have played up there many times. Just thought I'd share.

Thats just too cool,
I watched a comedy show recently on the TV featuring a guy Rich Hall,a comedian from Montana, the stage set also included a Chevy pick-up.
It was supposed to be a rural style backdrop,y'know straw bales etc.

It was probably just a shell, like the Navy trucks.

Re: This truck is a stage.

That is nice. It is a 54 or 55S1. You can usually tell by the side emblems.

Where is it? I'd go to that festival just for the truck! I sold a '53 2 ton to a guy a few years back who used it to haul his chuck wagon to catering gigs. He'd load it on the flatbed with all of the pots and pans and food stocks, drive it out to the event and cater the party looking like an old west cookie.

I love these old trucks. I just rescued a '49 from a barn that was falling. 2 months after I got it home, the barn collapsed. The truck had been there since '81.

Re: This truck is a stage.

Dan,
I've always be an AD addict long before I knew what AD is. I've wanted on since I was little. I'm finally getting one on the road. It sat in a field in Kansas for 38 years. Now it occupies my driveway.

Here's a link to their webpage. They are in Kansas.

Link isn't there but I know what you mean. My mom had a '54 when I was 8 years old. We rescued what was left of it. My son's 54 now sports the grille and bed from it.
