Whats the deal with PM alerts? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Sometimes when i get a new private message, the board alerts me the second i open up the page. Other times, a new PM will come in and i won't know about it for a few days because the board won't alert me at all. I ended up missing out on a great deal on a front sway bar because i didn't check my PM box (i thought the PM alert was working). How can this be made to work all the time?

In the user cp, go to Messaging and Notification section. The last option asks if you want a pop up box to appear while you are on line. Click the yes circle. This will give you the pop up box for messages recieved while OFF line, and while on the board.

Thanks for the help....but the bubble was cheked yes....wonder what the problem is?

I always check my message's just before going off line anyway, as a double check that I haven't missed anything. Might eliminate the "lost deal" that way.

I asked a few days ago about the same thing. I used to get email notices and now nothing.
