High-Low Beam Switch Relocation to clear kick pannel Speakers ?

I was wondering about the possible relocation of the switch over about 3 inckes closer to the brake pedel. My first stopper to this mod is, Does the new carpet come pre cut around the switch? That's it. I think that I will just chop out the shape in the floor and weld it in 3" over.

Anyone see a problem ?
If not I am off to the races (or the use of my handy die grinder)

You could relocate it (the dip switch) to the dash a lot of British cars do it this way.
Also you could use the plug that you cut out of the carpet for the new location to fill the hole for the standard location.
If it is behind the speaker then it would be less noticeable anyway.

Have fun

I have carpets made by Auto custom carpets (not LMC brand) and they give you the grommet and you decide where to put it (no hole in carpet), I have black in stock (high or low hump is the same price) colors take a couple of weeks to get in and they are 95.00 dollars + shipping. The carpets have the jute backing and have the plastic part below the drivers feet and are heat molded to fit the contour of the floor, they also go all the way back and about 3" up the gas tank and are not to short on the sides like some of them out there
