Carb question???
Ok guys yesterday morning I was trying to start my 1970 C10 and it didnt want to start. I put a bit of gas in the carb and it started right up. My problem is that the engine is really accelerated. Its prob running at about 6000 rpms non stop. Its a 2 barrel GM carb on a 283 v8 engine. Is there something I can adjust or does anyone know of what might be going on?? Sorry I know this is a rookie question but its my first build so im still learning. THanks

Re: Carb question???
Sounds to me like the throttle is wide open, possibly sprung in the wrong direction, or there is a HUGE vacuum leak!
Can you look down the carb with the choke plate open and see that the lower plates are closed?
