Re: Intresting things you have found in your trucks

I found a bandoleer of 8mm Mauser with 4 2oz silver bars in my 71. In 1998 I bought a 1983 monte from a police impound auction with no keys. My dad picked the lock on the trunk and opened it to find a stash of stolen guns, 38 in all, all high quality pieces. To bad they were hot, or I'd have guns to sell to fund my projects.

Re: Intresting things you have found in your trucks

In my '68 that my grandfather gave to me, me and my dad found tons of old pull tabs under the seat, old road triangle, original jack (no tool bag :[ ). Then in the glove box I found a very nice set of pliers, screwdrivers, 4 proof of sales for a '74 caprice '75 caprice(witch I sold a few months ago) and the illusive '80 K2500 GMC longbed, and also plaques from random bars and camp grounds in Wisconsin and northern IL.

In my '95 behind the rear seat i found some old farming news papers, papers on a new HD frame, springs, rear end, and aluminum radiator, and the nicest thing was the brand new 1 7/8" ball. Also, a spare key for the truck in the glove box that the dealership didn't even know about.

In the '75 caprice mentioned above when selling it the prospective buyer and new owner, found a beer can in the passenger side cubie hole witch was a tad embarrassing since it was my boss that was buying the car. lol
