Funny story

We went to a cruise in tonight and on the way home I stop to get some gas (it was getting dark outside) So I go into the store and pay. When I come back out, my wife says she almost had a heart attack.

She said some "gangster" looking car drove by and there was some kid holding something out the window. Now we're new to Topeka, and generally speaking its a little sketchier than we're use to. She seriously thought this kid was holding a gun out the window and she was about to be in the middle of a drive by. Well, as the car got closer she could tell the kid wasn't holding a gun, but a cell phone, trying to get a picture of my truck. We laughed a little and were thankful it wasn't a gun.

Re: Funny story

Wow thatd be scarry , is that a bid city? I know when my bro in law lived in a big city in a bad neighborhood they heard gun shots all the time. But it happens everywhere it seems like anymore, even in sioux falls, south dakota where i live someone pointed a gun at my other brother in law for not letting him come in the house....

Re: Funny story

Im glad it was just a cell phone. Congrats on the compliment though. Something kind of similiar happened to me. Last year i was cruising up the highway in my bodied c30 and some guy on a sweet Night Train gave me a thumbs up and yelled nice truck. I gave him a smile and kind of a half wave/peace sign or something I don't know I had a cigarette in my hand. Well then I noticed he started following me and I had no choice but to stop for fuel since I had no guages and knew my 454 had to be gettin thirsty. Well this guy who was a rather large gentleman barely even stopped the bike before he jumped off screamin n hollerin about me giving him the finger in some not so nice words. I had to explain to him that i was just trying to wave and trying to hide the fact that I amlost pissed my pants Well he laughed and apologized and it turned out he hired me to do an ART setup in his BelAir and he's now a tattoo client. You never know with some people though...a gun or a cellphone, or a middle finger or a wave.

Re: Funny story

Reminds me of a time I was getting gas in my stepside. A lady with a cell phone asked me if she could take a picture of my truck. I said, sure go ahead! Gotta love the oldies.
