Thanks 63-C10, much appriciated. I saw a number of these on trucks on CL and such. mine is still intact minus the upper plate on the hitch plate. the original owner made it into a stretched tongue. I'll try to get pictures of it up on my profile as soon as aI'm able.

Have to say I really appreciate the truck, but not the rim offset, I know examples of rims on it but still not streetworthy like that, but very cool otherwise.

was talking to the owner of the one from Campbell River and he says the truck originally came out of Alaska, then to Calif. and then up here. the work was done before he got it. it is sitting on a later frame, but does look a little confusing as it has the early side eng mounting and the b/housing cross member in it. You might just have some earlier pics of it

There are disc brakes in the front, drum brakes in the back. It has power steering. The front axle Dana 70, and the rear end is GM 14 bolt and both are one tons out of 1978 Chevy one ton truck, the transmission is a 4 speed top loader a 1960-62 and the transfer case is a devoriced NP205
The interior has newly covered bucket seats (83-86 suburban) in the front and a newly covered bench seat in the back. It needs a few gauges and I have the heater control panel but it is not installed.
