will the c-notch for a truck work for a blazer. If you use the 6in flip how close does it put the rear to the floor . I have new 3 in drop spindles for the front I want it to set level I was thinking maybe 1 in to 2 in drop springs with that in the front what about shocks I have new set set of kyb shocks for a pickup that i have had in the shop for a long time that are stock anyway to use these.

you should just do a mini notch its only about a 3 or 4 inch but it doesnt set up past the top of the og frame. thats what im using on my 82 blaz and my 94 1500 and my 94 has a 4-6 drop. heres a pic of the bolt in notch i used for both my trucks!!

Well I didn't find on for a blazer either. The one one mine is for a 82 c10 pick up but it works the same! All my air and drop components come from ekstensive metal works! What I don't build myself! check em out!

Oh and if you are just doing a drop some kits will come with a mini notch I would look for one that does! Most flip kits will have a notch with it. Theres not many co's that make a true blazer kit so look for a kit for the c10 truck same year and u should be fine!

When the flip kit was put on mine it ended up much lower than I anticipated. I have heard others say the same. Mine has a Western Chassis notch for the C10 but it does not fit without lots of trimming. Depending on the weather this weekend I might be able to get you a pick of it. It is so low it bottoms out even with the notch. I am in the process of putting 4wd rear spring hangers on it which should raise it up to about level. This pic is with springs and spindles in front and the flip kit in the rear.

Nice looking Blazer It is low. how much will the hangers raise it back up. how much did you take the front down. I would like to use some tires I have now 255-60-17 front and 275-60-17 rear on foose wheels . later on I want to put 20's on it

That's a nice blaze! Are u using a block with the flip kit? And those tires should be fine with a drop if anything they a little big but will work.

I think the springs in the front are 2 inch springs. The back doesn't have a block....just a flip. The 4wd rear spring hangers should raise the rear 2 inches. The C notch did not look like the one in the link and sure didn't fit out of the box. I would have to look at the frame to see if that one looks correct. Sorry but I didn't have time to touch the Blazer and get you a pic and tomorrow being Easter I won't have time tomorrow.

Yes it had spindles and spings on the front and shackles on the rear when I got it. It sat way to high in the rear.

These are for the small S-10 Blazers, not for the full size.

It's a mini notch for c10 not a full notch. If you look close in the pic I posted u can see just how deep it is. my floor is not cut at all just the frame. I got a 98 burb rear seat mounted there.

You can get this C-notch on ebay, just type in C-notch in the search!

If you do a google search you can find them cheaper than Ebay, about $10-$15less.

**Edit, make that about $20 less!

Be very careful towing with those, a guy on here who I think does engineer work said they lower the strength of the frame at the notch by about 60%. (maybe worse) It was a huge decrease, I remember that!

Here is a pic of my notch that I made and MK is right you should not really tow anything with this because of the stress behind the notch.

I also plated behins the notch for good measure and havent had any problems yet, but I do not tow anything.
