Re: Gas Tank Removal Tips
I know this is a very old post, and sry to hijack but im putting in a new tank in my 72' c20... anyone have any installation tips? Like use rubber tubing at the base so tank doesnt contact floor pan? Or use thick rubber washers between the tank and the pan? My old tank leaked at the bolt holes on the bottom, thought from to much vibration.. any recommendations?

Re: Gas Tank Removal Tips
Sorry for the late reply. Just saw it.
My tank didn't leak. It was the original tank, so it was just full of rust. lol. No vibration issues since I have changed mine out. If you think it will be an issue, rubber barrier on the bottom couldn't hurt. Hope it works well for you! Ol'Blue1970 ![]()
