Lower a-arms

Are the steering stops the same distance on '71-'72 a-arms and '73-'87. I am going to use '73+ drop spindles. Can I use '71-'72 lower a-arms and not have steering stop problems?

I have 73 and up dropped spindles on my 72 with stock control arms and everything works fine. You will need to use 73 and up upper ball joints with those spindles.
