This could be a fab work small issue, an adapter plate to turn it up over top of the blower or maybe an intake hat to make the turn. I just looked at one of these engines today thinking the same thing...

whelp...

my dreams are shattered.

The car is being given to another family member.

a bit bummed as I had done a bunch of research, started sourcing tranny parts, and even went as far as putting an ad on craigslist to get rid of the left over carcass once I had pulled the engine/computer/ect out of it.

still something I would like to do, but I dont feel comfortable buying an "unknown" engine like this. I know that buick inside and out and it would have been a risk-free purchase.
