Re: 1968 327 and TH400
No, not making it to Teeitups. The engine was rebuilt by Precision Engine rebuilding in Russellville Ar. Rebuilt to stock spec.s. As far as I know the cam, bearings, freeze seals, timing gears and chain, oil pump, lifters and rings replaced.I don't recall if pistons replaced. Heads rebuilt.New water pump, HEI distributor. Comes with AC compressor that was working with R12 when removed. Alternator with both header and original brackets. Also old canister oil filter housing and old disributor. All new plugs and wires. I put about 2000miles on the engine after rebuild before replacing with my 5.3. It does have a drip( like 2 or 3 drops over night) from oil pan I believe. The tranny was working when removed as well. I replaced front and back seals, but not the big pump o-ring in front. Has light leakage from there I believe. I replaced filter and fluid on tranny after engine rebuild. Don't know if tranny was ever rebuilt or not. Pan had some silt in it when I opened it up to change filter. Thanks. Jim

Re: 1968 327 and TH400
No, not going to WV anytime soon. I'm going to try and sell first as a unit, since its so complete. I'll think about shipping after the show, but shipping will probably kill any deals. Thanks. Jim

Re: 1968 327 and TH400
They said the heads would be set up for unleaded gas, so I think that meant hardened seats. Jim

Re: 1968 327 and TH400
Jim, understood and I know shipping can be a pain on large items.
But recently I shipped a motor to Oklahoma from NJ and it was only around $300. Scott

Re: 1968 327 and TH400
Sorry guys. Right now I'm not looking to ship or travel. I'm working on building a stand to run on. Have it bolted up at tranny mount and building motor stands today. Then hook everything up and run. I will be taking to Pettie Jean car show in my truck bed first. If can't sell local or pickup, will check on shipping. The stand is built to be forkable. Thanks again, and sorry. Jim
