I like it a lot!
7 seems fair, just as long as the drive train is tip top.

No idea what your trade is worth, so I can't speak to that.

Re: I've got a real simple question.

The 'burban blue books for eight. I apologize for the crazy blurry photo. The only thing that bothers me about the C20 is the tires, that's gonna be some money to make look right.
Can anybody guesstimate for me what size tires/lift are currently on that C20?

Re: I've got a real simple question.

Nice truck. I would pay 7 for that all day long. The truck looks like it has a 4" susp lift and about 285/75/16s on it. Just goin by the pics.

Re: I've got a real simple question.

The tires are either 285 series or 33's.

Good luck.

Re: I've got a real simple question.

trade it and put these on it... would look SICK SICK SICK !!!

just look at the blocks under the rear leaf springs. that will tell you the size lift... love the interior...

Re: I've got a real simple question.

Here's mine, 1972 K20 with a 6 inch lift and 285/75/16 BFG M/T. They look pretty close to me.

Re: I've got a real simple question.

Seems to me like a fair trade. the suburban is only gonna drop in price, whereas the 69/70 will hold its value alot better. JMHO

Re: I've got a real simple question.

Update:

Spoke to the guy, and here are the issues. The rear axle is leaking oil into the left wheel, the driver's side door hinge is bent, the power steering pump is leaking pretty badly, and two bolts/mount bolts/I'm not even sure are missing from the transfer case?

Still worth it, and what kind of damage am I looking at to fix these problems?

Re: I've got a real simple question.

I'd say fair since in today's market your burb is worth about $5gs or so depending on mileage and where you live. Blue book is always higher than market value I find. The truck is worth about the same, even with problems if it's fairly rust free and daily driver condition.

These trucks will always have some things going on them and fun stuff to fix, and it's never hard. Easy to work on and it wont depreciate nearly as much in the near future as your burb will, so I'd say it's a fairly even trade.

Re: I've got a real simple question.

Still worth it (as long as you check it out carefully for hidden items)! You'll enjoy it and as been said it will hold its value. Thanks for sharing! It looks pretty cool!

new axle bearing/seals on both sides along with new gear oil and no worries for awhile.. i always change the rear end oil on every vehicle i buy..

put a new hinge on it.. simple job.... parts all day long on here for cheap

power steering pump is easy to replace.... part on here all day long cheap or figure out whats leaking and fix it... simple as a loose hose clamp ??

put new bolts in... ACE hardware all day long...
