Was originally going to do a dully but bed is rough so I'm going to make a ccsb..air ride was done professional unlike a lot I have found. belongs to my cousin but he is going through a divorce and passed the project on! Only thing I hate that will soon to be gone is the 292. :/ should be a fun project

Re: new toy!
That's actually the plan..for now. Going to do a quick satin black with red airstrip flames...til I decided what I actually want to do. I would like it stock with big billets..but then again...crazy paint shaved everything. So hard to decide. Lol..def kicking myself in the ass for selling the 79 body...perfect donor for clip and bed.

Re: new toy!
Looks like a good starting point. I would definatly keep the 292 but would go ahead with the short bed and then put a turbo on it....

Re: new toy!
Agree with keeping the straight 6 - man those things are too cool! Wouldn't venture into the turbo arena though on it, especially if it'll be carbed - that engine will have plenty of torque for you to cruise nicely if you just do a little extra work while building it up! Truck looks like it's a good starting point too!!!

Re: new toy!
Lol..thanks for he inspiration! I think I am going to leave it wth the 292. The bed is still a dilemma. I have a shoer bed now..but my friend has a set of dually fenders.....Hmmmmmm......only things the suspension is already 1/2 ton with 3 inch spindles..I'd hate to swap it all back out...
