85 Crew Cab (Project: Coyote)

A little bit of background information on how I went about coming up with this project.

I bought a 85 crew cab 2wd dually truck in plans to build it into a dd/tow rig, After buying it and starting on the 4x4 conversion I found more and more rust in the cab, which basically meant I needed to find a new cab. After finding a whole crew cab I am using that cab for my DD/Tow rig build. So now I have an extra crew cab frame and a rusted out cab. So the plan is to make a mud/rock truck.

This is what it started out as

This is the current stage

The plan is to not start on this truck till after I get my DD/Tow rig done (Getting very close to body work)

Plans for this build:

Drive Train:
-Engine: TBI 350 or 6.2 Diesel
-Transmission: TH350 or SM465
-Transfercase: NP205
-Steering: Some sort of cross over, not really sure yet
-Front Axle: Dana 44 (Yes I know, but everyone around here thinks D60's are gold)
-Rear Axle: Corp 14B, DIY4x disc kit
(Might know someone that will be selling some rockwells soon, might go with those as they are already setup for a chevy truck, but would kind of light to drive the truck on the road as well. Its all up in the air right now)
-Front Suspension: 52 inch springs
-Rear Suspension: 56 inch springs with a home made shackle flip
-Wheels: 16.5 inch wagon wheels
-Tires: 37 inch military tires

Other things:
-Frame: Cut the frame down in the rear so that the front spring hangers are right behind the cab, and the end of the frame ends at the rear spring hangers. Bob the bed to fit (about 4.5 foot bed)
-Tube doors
-Paint: OD green & black

So sense this is the planning stage I would like to get opinions on what you guys think I should do with some things, how would you change it, what would make it better? This truck will see more mud than rocks, rocks will be something that I will do later.

Cool truck, I want a crew cab pretty bad. Might chop and extend the frame and put one on in a year.
