Fixing Mirror Glass - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

How would you go about replacing the glass on one of these mirrors? I have a rusted and dented set of black mirrors with good glass. Is there a way to remove the glass w/o breaking? That's the only way I ever removed it and I was in the driver seat at the time...call it hands-free,lol!

Depending on what mirrors you actually have, the local part store should have the glass for like $10-$15 for brand new.

To answer your question, I'm not sure how you can go about getting the mirror off of the adhesive without breaking it at all. Maybe someone else has an idea of how to do it.
