Stock radio wiring?

Hey, I Just got a replacement stock radio from the junk yard. And I cant figure out how to wire this thing in!!! the guy I bought my truck off of didn't have the stock radio to give me It seems like all the radio wiring is gone. I've got all the wiring for the front and back speakers from the scrap yard. But I don't know where the black yellow and grey wires go coming from the black plug in the pic. I tried the ole search button but found nothin. If anyone has any info it would be a great help!!!!!

Re: Stock radio wiring?

Black = ground
Grey = illumination
Yellow = power
It should have all the wiring info on the bottom of the radio for speakers and such

Re: Stock radio wiring?

Thanks a lot! when I was rooting around in the junk yard truck I traced the wires to the big clip that goes into the gauge cluster, My truck doesn't have any loose wires running to the Cluster where they may have been cut :S Any one know where they go to?

Re: Stock radio wiring?

Hi neighbour
my 78 didn't have much for wires figured they were cut by PO
and they were (power)but the truck musta had a stock AM radio and one speaker so no speaker wires cept the single to the dash center and it just hung there no harness
and it's plug is wired diff too from 4 speakers
if the radio dosn't seen to work, bypass the power plugs, mine broke inside but looked fine

Re: Stock radio wiring?

Walmart sells a wiring kit for this take the old plugs and plug them into the kit then splice the wires into the original radio's cords.
