Question Stupid Questions? Are there such things?

Here goes anyway: are there any vintage Chevy or GMC years pre-1973 that can bolt up direct to a 73-87 chassis? I know on the postwar generations some guys graft the subframes so the independent suspension and disc brakes can be used, but I was wondering what it would take to bolt on an older bed cab and front clip?

If there's already a discussion on this topic please provide a link. Thanks in advance.

Re: Stupid Questions? Are there such things?

You don't need to swap the frame on a 63-66 truck. You can easily bolt the front suspension of a 73-87 under it and get what you need. The 60-62 front was torsion bar, so its a bit harder to convert.
