58 Pickup rear axel

Where can I get the rear axel from my 58 1/2 ton shortened at a somewhat reasonable price
Does anyone make a good posi unit for this axel
If any one has done this how much did you shorten it ??
want to keep 6 lugs etc so a swap is out

I had a 12 bolt done at http://www.pylebros.com/. As I remember is was about $500 with the axles. no gears or diff unit. If your going to shorten it I would use a later model that may be easier to get parts for. Like a 12 bolt ot a 10 bolt. Your going to have to get new axles so you can get 6 or 5 lug what ever you prefer.
