Pre 77 Suburban Vin ID

So I am having a friend look at a 1974 k20 Burb for me and he said that the vin plate is in the Rear Drivers side door jam. He said it is not in the jam for the front door.

Can anyone confirm? Possible spoof? When did they change it? Is there somewhere else to look? The glove box is gone.
I got a Vin of CKY264F******
C= Chevrolet
K= 4x4
Y= 350 4bbl
2= 3/4 ton
6= Suburban
4= 1974
F= Flint

I have a 77 and it is in the normal spot. Front Drivers jam

Ok- Even weirder. The stamped code on the frame rails is upside down on both sides.

Wtf?

Should I not even bother? It is a clean rust free Burb. Help!
