Time for wheels!
Hi guys I am going to do a set of wheels and tires on my 71. I am looking for a few suggestions on what fits and looks good. I have steel rallys on now and I don't like them. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!

Re: Time for wheels!
5 6 or 8 lug? I put a set of Cragar Soft 8's on our 67 and they look incredible.
BTW, where in MN are you at?

Re: Time for wheels!
Ed, I have the 5x5 pattern. I was considering the soft 8, I'm not sure about black wheels. I am in the Brainerd lakes area. Where are you?
Willie, if I could afford them I would have them, my favorite wheels! Thanks guys! Drew Posted via Mobile Device

I would have to agree that SS Cragers are one of my all time favorites.

C-10's and Coys C-5's were made for each other.
What's your budget? Lots of nice billet stuff out there too.

Re: Time for wheels!
Zoomin, that looks sweet! My budget is $500. Did you have any trouble fitting bigger than a 15 inch rim? A guy at NTB said thats the biggest rim my truck would allow without modifying it alot. I didn't think that sounded right. Any idea's?
Thanks

Re: Time for wheels!
Your guy at NTB doesn't know what he's talking about.
These are 18's on a 3.5 / 5 drop, no problems at all. And do you mean $500 per wheel/tire? Cuz that's about what these run, mounted, balanced, and shipped. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Time for wheels!
yeah, if you're talking $500 total, you're not going to get much for a wheel for that and will be stuck with the same tires.
I just ordered a set of 20x8.5 Boss 338s with 255/45/20 tires for $1450 total w/ shipping |

Re: Time for wheels!
I didn't think that sounded right. And sadly yes 500 total. I think I am going with 16 inch Cragar soft 8s nothing fancy but better than what I have now. Being as the truck needs tires I don't want to buy 15 tires when I want 16 inch rims. Through Summit I can get everything for 450.00. And mounting should be cheap, I work at the local toyota store so I get a nice discount.
