I have bought many parts from Mar-K and no complaints, great product and good shipping price with quantity order
They were actually cheaper. When we went the first time to buy them they were out of stock. So they called us two weeks later and told us they were in, I'm just wondering if they needed some quickly so they just made a deal with Mar K? Guess it all works out in the end, we are definitely happy with the product.

Everything is looking great. You are doing a great job on that truck.

What all did you do to your frame and suspension? I'm starting to work again on mine (52 GMC) after sitting for 10 years and want to get my frame prepped so that I have a rolling chassis with independent suspension. I've got a GMC 302 inline 6 coming and will be dropping that in.

Re: Long Term 48 5-Window

I just saw that you used a 70 swb frame for your frame. Sorry! Thats a great idea. How did everything fit up? Was there a lot of modifications? Your truck looks awesome by the way. I'm very jealous! I bought my truck when I was 22 and was going to build it with my dad as well. He passed away when I was 25 and now being married with one kid and another on the way, I finally got the bug again after seeing a 49 GMC in this February's edition of Custom Classic Trucks. Reading all these forums and seeing pictures of people building and actually finishing their projects helps keep me fired up! Best of luck on your project!

Re: Long Term 48 5-Window

Finally got all the parts delivered to my dad so he was able to make a little progress. Here is what he's gotten done. The only thing he wasn't able to get attached was the roll pan.

We used a 70 C10 frame and added an ECE 4/6 drop kit on it. Hope it all turns out in the end!

Re: Long Term 48 5-Window

Well as much as I hate to say it, we finally ended up selling our project. This was the last thing my dad ever wanted, however the funds just weren't there and he is ready to get his motor in a truck and burning some tires. So we compromised and found another project. Let us know what you think, and we will be starting a new thread shortly.

Re: Long Term 48 5-Window

And here is our new project, 71 C10 with a straight 6. Since we have already done all the work to the 70 frame that was sitting under the 48 we are just going to swap frames, do some body work new paint, wheels and we should be good to go. Hope you guys have enjoyed. Thanks
