Blazer rear tire carrier installment
Hey everyone
I just bought a rear tire carrier for my 72 blazer for five bucks! The only problem is I wasn't able to take it off myself so I am not sure how it goes on. Does anyone have any pictures of one that is already installed that they could e-mail me or can anyone explain how they go on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

You talking about a factory one?One that mounts inside or outside?I've got one(dealer installed I think)that mounts to the rear passenger quarter panel. If that's what you need let me know.

If you're talking about the inside one, it goes either behind the driver's seat, or behind the rear seat (if you have one) on the driver's side. It sits perpendicular to the side of the blazer, parallel to the tailgate. Uses 4 bolts into welded nuts (alreadly there) in the floor of the blazer.

I bought an outside one. The guy I bought it from said it was off of a 74 blazer. Just kind of wondering how the original ones mounted on there. They must not have changed much it looks the same as a 72.
Thanks |

Let me know if it fits. It would be good to know if the later model swing away spares fit first gen Blazers.
