Radiator Options in 51 Chev 3600 ??

Wondering what radiators people have used. Something I could grab at the junkyard?

Ok, so I really like the looks of the aftermarket aluminum replacements on eBay that have the tranny cooler in them, but, budget is tight at the moment and the immediate goal is just to make her a reliable driver, so for now, I need to do something different.

(I love the aluminum ones, eventually that's what I'll run, so I'm gonna make a fresh radiator support and keep the original intact so I can swap back over later, right now that money needs to go to tires)

Wondering what people have used.... say, something from a junkyard pull.

Thinkin about hittin the junkyard on Wednesday to pull something.

I have a 350 in here, so need something adequate.... but obviously size could be an issue. Hoping for some examples of stuff used, and dimensions would be good too.

My fenders and grill are out right now.... but I know that being too tall too wide would hit the hood.

Anyone? Recommendations?

Re: Radiator Options in 51 Chev 3600 ??

I used an aluminum 2 core from champion. It is a direct replacement for a 55' belair but I'm using an s-10 frame so my set up is a bit different from the OG frame.

None the less, I got this for about 280 with the fan shipped to my door, I think. So it is worth it. Then I had to buy a $40 relay. All in all I love it, I have no cooling issues with my .030 sbc

I'd recommend something that has a warranty and welded, not pressed filler neck and peacock valve.
