Re: pull-a-part score today!!

Heres their address for us okies

Pull A Part
1200 South Santa Fe Avenue
Oklahoma City, OK 73109-5745
(405) 235-3400

also check out Careys triple C salvage, they specialize in classics and if your man enough you can go pull it yourself. they have 4 1959 wagons i checked out for some parts for my other project. I have bought a few 73-87 parts there. they dont advertise as a pull it yourself but if you tell them what you want and you want to look around and pull yourself they will let you. no fee, just pay for what you get and they have good prices. Also they answer the phone and will tell you if they have the vehicle/parts you are looking for unlike pull a part.

Re: pull-a-part score today!!

The pull-a-part is only a $1 here in Nashville. There is also a pull-n-save in another location that is $2. Basically the same things, but the pull-a-part is much larger and has a better variety.

I'm actually heading there now to get some goodies!!!

Re: pull-a-part score today!!

Had a great day at p-a-p. My truck had factory a/c, but the previous owner pulled the compressor and all the brackets off for "better fuel economy". It also didn't come with a head liner and that is definitely gonna change. Anyways, I spent a few hours looking around and this is what I got.

1. Complete a/c brackets ( 2 sets, just in case someone else needs some ) and compressor ( freon hissed out of the lines when I removed the lines and clutch still spins freely, but will probably use it as a core ).

2. Complete headliner trim off a 78 in perfect shape.

3. A perfect headliner out of an 80, but will recover to match my interior.

4. I also grabbed all the factory wiring, chrome housing and switch for the rear cargo light on the outside of the cab.

There was an 80 model there with factory power windows n locks but the wiring was all cut and someone had gotten too it already. It just got there!! I guess ya gotta move quick. lol

Re: pull-a-part score today!!

someone or someone's here at the knoxville pap is going out there and breaking glass..and any usible part on anything old...they have been told about it..but i hate it when you see a good part on an old car and someone just broke everything on it..

They just raised the fee to $2 at k-town pap.

I did get lucky and find 9 73-87 tach dash cluster there..that is before that started breaking them all..

why would someone need 155 oil pressure gauges..for 73-87 trucks anyway?

every tilt van coulmn is gone at this location..someone goes there everyday...

Best thing i ever got there was a mint black dash pad for a 69 cutlass with rally gauges and tach..paid $32 for all...brought it home..put on ebay ,got $640 big ones..
