Re: 15" rims with disc brakes?
It is not that disc brakes don't work with 15" rims, it is that before disc brakes the rims GM made would hit the caliper. Now I have not heard of this problem on truck rims, passenger cars yes. My 1967 Chevelle when I switched it to discs I had to change the rims because of the original wheels being for drum brakes. Chevy car ralleys were actually originally just for clearing disc brake cars before GM made the regular rims clear the caliper.

Re: 15" rims with disc brakes?
man I hope the caliper doesn't hit a 15" rim.
I like the steel rims with dog dish better then the 18 alloys Have to put drop spindels and bags up front but if the 15" rims won't clear the calipers then it is back to the drawing board............. Anybody have disc brakes with 15" rims on the front? |

Re: 15" rims with disc brakes?
from 71-88 every factory light duty chevy truck had disc brakes with 15" wheels. I'm sure many aftermarket disc brake setups won't fit in a small wheel. The original reason for big wheels was to clear big brakes. If you don't want to change wheels the factor disc brake setup is pretty tried and trued.
