What is my truck supposed to look like? (options)

As it stands my 71 has an all bronze lower body and a white cab. However in the glovebox there are the options b85 belt molding and bx2 side molding - wide. I believe the truck has been at least partially repainted. Does this mean my truck should be white in the middle between the molding? I do like that look better.

The side emblems say Custom/20 deluxe and it has woodgrain stickers on the lower part of the door and in the glvoebox cupholder indentations. It also has the stainless front and rear window trim.

Other options:
G50 HD rear spring
m20 4-spd
v46 chrome frt bumper
z62 custom conf & conv (what is this?)
601 black cloth trim
f51 frt & rear shock
ls9 350
n40 pwr steering
z53 amp-oil-temp gauge
551 white medium bronze
Base 127

ttt for you.

I'd guess white top and middle too, but someone will come along and let us know definitively.

I think it had white top only. On the spid a truck with white top and white middle would look like the first four pics.

Something like this if they had room to type it all out. White/med olive/white/ med olive.

Where the last pic is a white top only. white and red orange or white/ red orange.

Your truck has both the upper and lower trim but any fleetside truck could be ordered with that regardless of the paint combo.

Cool, thanks for the info. I might just repaint it with the extra white anyway just to break up all that "bronze". I have always thought that was the more attractive combo anyway.

The truck is currently missing all the lower trim and half of the upper trim, unfortunately.

Since yours is a Custom Deluxe, the Z82 option is included. You have the standard two-tone. I like it with lower and belt moldings because the chrome stands out, like on a solid paint truck. With the deluxe two-tone the moldings more or less disappear and become just a paint divider. The top being white stands out and keeps all the color low down. That is also a traditional look for trucks, since that was the only deluxe paint upgrade in the years prior to these trucks. I like it all...Solid,Standard two-tone (top),Conventional two-tone (top & lower),and Deluxe two-tone (top & middle). I couldn't find a Medium Bronze/White truck in my pictures to show. It'll look good however you do it.

Guessing the med bronze is not a real popular color? Don't see too many of them on here.

Here's butler57's, a 2-tone which i think looks great. 2500HD's white cab version looks real good too with the lower molding.

Re: What is my truck supposed to look like? (options)

Conventional 2-tone has the top painted white, in most cases. Special 2-tone has the white top and white lower body (beneath the wide molding) and the main color from there, up.

But, GM allowed for all kinds of paint combos and the info I have is for '69. By the time the '70's came out, there may have been some of the accent/color/accent/color combos as the bronze/white truck shows.
