Booster problems

I need help diagnosing a problem. After leaving my first car show where the truck was sitting in about 90 degree heat all day my breaks stopped working. My uncle and I think it's possible the booster went out. I've been doing some reading at it could also possibly just be a check valve. I will check that when i get home from work. Anyone ever have a similar problem? Any thoughts or suggestions would be great!

Thanks guys!

Taylor

Re: Booster problems

have you tested to see if its the booster ? before starting engine pump your brakes up and hold the pedal ,start the engine does the pedal drops ? or stays in the same place ?

If no downward movement, even slightly, when you start the engine then your assumption that the booster is bad is probably correct.

Be sure and check the vacuum hose and valve to make sure those are working.
