Cool Rollback

I really don't want another truck but this thing has me thinking! I found it awhile back and went over yesterday and took these. I gave the guy's wife one of my cards I hope he will call me. It looks to be all orignal. Don't kinow anything about it yet except she said he need to sell it!

Re: Rollback

That looks like a potentially great truck...'68 Custom 30 with steel rollback. Sandblast that bed and it'll come out nice. You don't see trucks like this around.

Cool Re: Rollback

I just used the term rollback loosely! It may be a ramp. I don't really know but I know I like it.
I can see my 71 on the back of that thing going to the shows.
Guy's I worked 12 hrs last night and just drove 5 hrs to the beach house. Don't pay a lot of attention to what I say on here.

Cool Re: Rollback

Well it was 2 weeks ago when I took the pictures and herd nothing. So I go over to the shop again and they aren't there!

So I get his number off his sign and call him several times with no luck!
Finally he answers and says he was going to call me once he got it running.
He wants $3800.00 for it after he gets it running and puts the brakes shoes on it.
I think I can get it a little less but not sure if I want that much in it to start off with.

Re: Rollback

If only those trucks were closer. I'm looking for a rollback, flatdeck, etc scrap truck but there aren't any up here. You can get a running and driving '70s-80s one in great shape for $4000 so he's priced fairly high for a beater truck.

Wink Re: Rollback

Yea that's what I was thinking it's a little high about $1500.00 high to me. He said give him a couple of weeks to get it going so we will see. I doubt I get it but I'm going to wait and see what he does first.

Unhappy Re: Rollback

Went back over there and talked to them in person. He said as is sitting he wouldn't take less then $3500.00. If some one else nts it LMK that way high I think. The motor is a 305 doesn't know where it came from. The marker lights are some he installed. My guess it will sit and waste away to nothing.

Re: Rollback

Didn't know you were looking for one of those. Will keep my eyes open. There was one for sale just north of me not long ago. Looked better than that one and it was priced at $1500. It also needed brake work. As I am downsizing I don't need anything like that.
