LINELOCK, I take it this set-up is still available being it is an older posting? Sending a PM, thanks.

Coop, thanks for the referal, wish this was closer but maybe can get it to Kansas without breaking the bank.

Whoa guys---got a job and kids and so on, and this is a hobby---Plus I sell parts on other sites and so on. D. Passmore sent you A PM minutes ago.

Ironhorse, B&M Kit #30228 and the bands were from a local tranny parts supplier. The T/C was in good shape like the trans and only needed bearings and seals. The package comes with a torque converter and a chrome T/C shifter.

Re: rebuilt th350/205

LINELOCK, Quite interested in your 350/205 combo, not sure what shipping such an item would entail. Not very knowing about the internals of a 350th, just looking for a good smooth shifting stock unit to replace my sm465/np-205 standard shift. If you were more local I would be knocking on your door for pickup. Where in Nevada are you located, what shipping options do you have? Palletized and dropped at a local trucking outfit? Not sure how much weight we're talking here. May be able to have it picked up by a OTR trucker friend of a friend situation and delivered to Ok City, Okla. and then road trip to pick it up. Any ideas you have to make this work? Still at the $600 total package, trans, t/c, converter and chrome shift stick?

Re: rebuilt th350/205

I figure it weighs about 425 lbs. I can palletize it and load it on a trailer- I work at a diesel repair shop in Reno, Nev. Board member Heavychevy has some shipping connection-see my post for a 402 I have for sale, details inside post. $600 includes all you mentioned. Thanks, Rich 775-750-4516

Re: rebuilt th350/205

LINELOCK, This may be possible to do if HMC has the shipping arangements nailed. What year vehicle did this setup come from? Have any other items to make the swap? Still would need an auto column, shift linkage, bolt in auto hump.

HeavyMetalChevy, could you check into shipping $$ this trans & t/c package to Kansas? I am about 30 miles south of Wichita, Ks. No truck freight dock shipper here in Podunk, Ks. USA, would have to pick up from truck freight dock in Wichita which would be no problem. This hopefully has some possibilites with your assistance. Thanks for stepping in with your offer to assist in shipping.

Re: rebuilt th350/205

All I need is the zips and will this be skidded on standard 48" x 40" skid? also what is the height of this bad boy??? and I will run it at 425 pound but that seems pretty dang heavy!!!

Thanks, that is a short trip though so it should be really affordable!

Thanks,
Duane

Re: rebuilt th350/205

HeavyMetalChevy, My zip code here in Wellington, Ks. (aka Podunk, USA) is 67152. Not sure a truck delivery is possible in town here, would be great but no local trucking companies in town. Wichita, 30 miles north of me has several trucking companies on south and west end of the city. Zip code for that would be 67211. Not sure about zip codes for LINELOCK in Reno, Nevada. I would think a std. 40" x 48" pallet would be sufficient?

Re: rebuilt th350/205

My zip is 89431. I will try to fit on the smallest pallet with any over hang. 48X40 would be more than enough.

Ironhorse, to answer your question earlier in the post, I do not know what year exactly this came out of, but I believe it was a '72.

I do have a rebuilt auto column (dark green) with linkage. I hate to part with it, but if you want it add $300 to the deal. That's what I have into it.

Heavy, thanks for your assistance.

It does not have to be a trucking company or dock... Just a friend or business with a forklift would be fine, or two or three strong buddies at least. As long as you can off load it then it is all good. If all else fails Liftgates can be provided no problem. It will include an extra charge of course... Runs about 20-40 extra for lift gate service but that will def. be an exact and accurate number at time of "true" quote and/or exact shipping arrangements.

I got the dimensions for a typical TH350 but any additional info provided would be that more of accurate quote. My knowledge of shipping weights is Th350 empty is 120lbs(no converter) and 205 is 155 lbs. with adapter. so we are at 275 there. I will just go off a 36 x 24x24 dimensions that should be sufficient. If you can fab pallet that size. Let me know if it will be drained of fluid and such as well. I will run 425 just to be safe for now including converter and pallet weight.

Re: rebuilt th350/205

My dang internet went out this morning or would have been back with you way sooner. Most engines and trans are typically class 85 freight but with the density of this setup I think it could drop i to a class 55 which will save a few bucks. Class 85 looks to be around $175 and at class 55 looks like $155. that's really lucrative seeing how it is roughly a 1600 mile trip! Just the gas one way would be approx. $280 and that is going off of an optimistic 20mpg. I doubt many trucks hauling would come close to that mpg figure!

Re: rebuilt th350/205

LINELOCK & HMC, Let's make this happen. Will send you both a PM to get this lined out.

LINELOCK, will be a few days while I work out the $$ issues with my finance officer (aka, the wife ) and my piggy bank. I DO Want this set-up, just need to work out the purchase and shipping issues. Besides the column, any cooling lines, kickdown cable & bracket, trans to frame/column linkage, etc.? Is the column a truck automatic tilt or non/tilt. Would really like a tilt as I have a floor shift tilt right now and got comfortable with it. I need the bolt in floor hump also for this set-up.

HMC, will keep you in the loop on this so can work out the shipping angle. Thanks for your assistance to make this do-able.

Ironhorse, you can send me a check when you have the money. I have no problem holding on to it for you. The column I have is for an auto, non-tilt, and from a '71 truck. I do not have any crossmembers at this time, a guy from California came up a couple of months ago and went shopping in my yard and bought alot of stuff. Don't stress the money-I'm not

HeavyMetalChevy--- Thank You for your help. You actions make this site more pleasant and helpful.
