Hotchkis TVS

Does anyone have a hook up on this kit? I would really like to purchase it for my c10 but it is super expensive. Does anyone know of another bolt on kit that would improve the suspension performance? I was thinking about buying a front end rebuild kit, but then thought why? I should buy a new suspension kit.

Also keep in mind that the TVS system from Hotchkis recommends using a different spindle than the stock 67-72 C10's.

I've been wanting this kit for a year now, maybe next year I will save up and get it. One thing that I would have to change is switch my long tube Hooker headers for some mid-length headers so they don't sit below the frame rail. Not sure how much clearance there is after the installation of this kit.

I have ran several different brands of products on our truck, but we now have the complete Hotchkis TVS Suspension System, and i will tell you this. You will not find a better handling suspension for the C10. The upper and lower control arms to me are the heart and soul of this kit. Don't get me wrong, all the other components are definitely needed to get the "full" potential for the handling characteristics. If you want to see for yourself go to youtube and type in PCHRODS in the search and look at all the videos of our truck, i think you too will be amazed. the OUSCI videos really show you some impressive moves for a 4280 lb truck.“

Hotchikis, from their instructions, does not require a special spindle, but will require trimming of steering stops on some castings...

How do I know which spindle I have? I have disc brakes but bought the truck this way. How do I tell the difference between a 71 spindle and the 73-87 spindle?

Here is the info from Hotchkis instructions for anyone who is thinking about the kit.

Ball Joint Info:
Before you install this product, please verify which front spindles you have. We have designed the upper aarms
to utilize the 73‐87 style spindles. This type of spindle was widely used in disc brake conversions due to
its easy interchangeability and readily available replacement parts (e.g. ball joints, tie rods). If you have
original 71‐72 style disc brake spindles, you can order ball joints from us to convert the Hotchkis upper a‐arms
to work with that spindle. (Part # FA683)
If you have 63‐70 drum brake spindles, you will need to upgrade your spindles and brakes to take advantage
of this a‐arm kit.

Not sure about the spindles but that sure seems like a good price for what all you get with this kit.

Hotchkis, I reviewed the photos and want to know which spindle was used on the Orange truck on the instructions? The OEM or the 2" drop spindle?

If I'm not mistaken, he has OEM spindles with the 4" front drop springs. I'll see if I can find what he has.

When summit dropped the price to $3,800, I had to order it. Much to my surprise, I didn't even end up paying shipping. Just the 12.95 handling fee or whatever. I can't get the truck back on the road soon enough at this point, I want to feel it work!
