Re: Project: Turbo 250

Well finally got the correct .69 a/r on center housing and got it bolted up! Fits like a glove. Got the a/c bracket and pump mocked up and figured out that I will have to run my 4bbl nitrous plate to get the fuel lines for the carb to clear properly. Oh well i will just have to cap that off for now

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Well not to much work done on the truck, just got the design laid out for the a/c bracket so it will work with my new MSD Pro Billet distributor. But I did get to use the Copperhead Metallic color from PPG on my 03 shadow VT1100!!! and practice with my new DeVilbiss GTi millennium HVLP gun! I am really liking this paint color! I am still half tempted to paint the truck this color now that I seen it in person! Heres a few pics of it

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Well I got the Vintage Air AC bracket modified to clear the MSD Pro Billet distributor! Turned out really nice! Once I get the idler pulley bracket built to clear the water neck I will do a detailed thread on it for anyone else who wants to run an HEI and have AC.

Re: Project: Turbo 250

AC, power steering, water pump, alternator, and crank, and idler. Basically everything a modern car would have. I tried to keep it as clean as possible and spice it up with the billet pulleys over the stock looking style.

Re: Project: Turbo 250

I am thinking 2nd week in July should give me enough time to get everything ready with me only having 2.5 hours at night between the time I get home and the time I go to bed. I just got a new 3 core aluminum race radiator in tonight.

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Finished the idler pulley and got it installed, The correct gates belt should be in tomorrow so I can tighten everything up there.
Got the entire front clip disassembled. Going to try and get it stripped here and shot ASAP!

Is this a new crank pulley? Is it still available at parts stores?

Yes it is a new crank pulley. It can be bought through napa, oreillys, car quest that I know of, but it is special order. The cheapest I found it was through Summit Racing Equipment.

You might want to call them up and see if they carry them. I used my stock one as it is hidden down behind everything so I wasnt so concerned, but i do agree they look cool!

That's what is nice about this file, it already has All automatic and manual gear ratio's stored in the file (even the close and wide versions), you just select which trans you have! Or just select custom trans and enter in your own gear ratios if you have a custom setup!

hey Longbed! I was curious to know why you went with a stock crank pulley seeing as how your doing the turbo thing. Did you not know that these new balancers were available over on inliners? I tried looking on summit for the crank pulley but have yet to find it listed. Are they the same as an sbc?
