Re: Parting a '72 Blazer 4x4
Noticed that one of the side strips has rust holes, so grabbed an orange one that I had, but noticed that its got a small hole. The green one is good.

Tailgate strip. Looks to be pretty straight. The bottom on the one end is a little gnarly, but didn't find any holes.

Re: Parting a '72 Blazer 4x4
Roill bar pics. There is some grind marks(?) on the inside corners of the hoop, and several small holes. Could be filled, or just recover in new padding. Otherwise pretty nice. Was covered in foam, so paint looks good. A little rusted on the bases, but still very thick, and should clean up good.

Re: Parting a '72 Blazer 4x4
Rear seat. Foam and frame are good, so may be a solid candidate for recovering, or clean up and use 'as is'. There are only two stands on the back, and no hold downs. I also have a black one that is nice, and includes all the brackets, the hold downs, and 2 pairs of good seat belts for $250.

Re: Parting a '72 Blazer 4x4
I have 2 tops, and both are in decent condition but will need a little work. I will post pics tomorrow and get you hooked up. Where in Wappingers? The tops are in LaGrange on 55 just outside of P'keepsie, so should be nice and close.

Re: Parting a '72 Blazer 4x4
Got it for scrap, really. It has tinted glass, a nice slider, seat looks like it could be recovered. Body is junk, but the tailgate's not horrible. A little bent and some holes in the bottom. Its got a big hub Dana 44 up front and an HO52 open rear w/ 4.10s. DeadheadNM picked up the tailgate a few months back on his way from Boston to NM.

Re: Parting a '72 Blazer 4x4
My bad. Went back and checked, and it turned out to be just a 203 that someone had awkwardly stuffed under the truck.

Re: Parting a '72 Blazer 4x4
Nothing special on this thing. Has a newer 350/TH350 and a 203 sitting on the original 205 mount. Motor is stuck, tranny case is busted. I'm guessing that someone started to fix this thing and gave up.
How's $100 for the front diff? I may have misspoke before about it being a big hub. It is 8 lug, but not sure about the different variations. |
