Spring Rate

I am getting ready to order a QA1 Front Pro-Coil over set for my 1950 Chevy truck with a TCI Mustang ll front end with a 496 stroker big block. What spring rate do I need, 375 lb or a 500lb?

Thanks for any help!

Re: Spring Rate

I have the same question for my 54 truck with a big block also. Mine has the original bottom "A" frame with the strut rod and the ride is a little harsh for me. I'm thinking of going to a tubular lower "A" frame and eliminate the strut rod. Has anyone done this conversion and what was the result? I have a Fatman set up on my truck.

Thanks
Dave

Re: Spring Rate

I just found out from a guy that when he ordered his TCI Mustang ll for his 51 Chevy Truck with a big block from them, they told him that a 500lb spring rate is what he needed.
