pics of c40-60 with regular beds please.

I would like to see some pics of C40-60 trucks that have long or stepside beds. i think they are freakin sweet and I get enough inspiration I might go ahead and do one myself.

Re: pics of c40-60 with regular beds please.

I have been thinking the same thing for the last couple of weeks. I have a real nice long bed leftover from one of my trucks that was a long to short. I also have found about 5 miles from me a C-60 with only the slightest amount of rust on the fenders only. I wished I could find a 1/2t truck with clean metal like this thing rockers are perfect! the truck has had the engine sold out of it I could get it for 750. I thought about using the 454/t400 out of a 36k mile motorhome I junked out. The motorhome has a tilt ,and since I have all of my other trucks covered in that area I could put that in as well and brand new 19.5 inch tires w/chrome sims on the wheels

That sounds like it would be awesome. Those cabs are aways in better shape. I think it is because they sit higher from the ground. I've only managed to find two or three pictures of trucks that have been done that way. I need to see more so that i can wrap my head around what i would like to do. I am really thinking about doin it because people will sell them too you for practicly nothing, plus they look sooo sweet.

Re: pics of c40-60 with regular beds please.

Well, the cabs are better I think, cause most grain trucks are kept in the sheds or barns and only used during dry days. My dad had a 66 GMC with wood floor to haul cowas wellas grain my mom was the only one to drive it power steering and brakes rained on one time from 67 -87 when he sold it for only 200 less than he paid for it cause it was that nice.

I like both the red ones. The last one just needs to have the running boards stretched. And a panel built for behind the wheels.

What are you waiting for???!!! Sounds like an awesome build!

I really dig the big, old school heavy duty rigs, almost like a TopKick or an F450/550 but with BA!!$

I think the yellow one looks best. Between the Stepside bed and cutting the fenders/running boards down that one nailed it. I could do without the silly "Tonka" on the side.

Re: pics of c40-60 with regular beds please.

I agree with Special K on the yellow truck, best cab to bed transition. The red one at the top looks like a photoshop'ed pic. Is it a real truck or someone's dream? I just went through Dino's build thread. I makes me want to go out and start looking for C50's. Beautiful truck, what did it bring at Barret Jackson?
