Exactly like the title says- What are you guys using for shocks on an AD with a stock rear end. Wondering if anyone is using the stock shocks, or going more modern and what the advantages/disadvantages are of both.

I am REAL happy with Bilstine shocks on both of my AD's

Did you remove those shocks that are attached to the frame rails then? You should post a few pics of your application if you can. I'd love to see them! And your using the rear ends that came on the AD's?

The rear top frame location remains in the same spot but the front suspension
has been altered to accept a Dodge Dakota components the rear axle on the 53 is Ford 9" and the 55 is Camaro rear axle with a Mll front IFS with the shocks in tha same location in the rear and front is inside the coil springs

Okay. I'm just wondering how I'd put different shocks on a 49 3100 with the stock rear end from those years. I've never done that before where I'd take the shocks that are on the frame rail off and put aftermarket or more modern shocks on and attach them how they are on later years like in the late 60's.
