copper lines with accuair setup ??

i have seen a couple different pics of copper lines running into what looks like the factory plastic airline inserts on the accuair valve setup ? am i seeing this right or is there special fittings on the copper to replace the plastic air line fittings ?? my thoughts is i want the look of the hardlines with of course the least amount of money , so i was thinking run the copper tubing and paint it black or charcoal grey ? any input anyone ??

Re: copper lines with accuair setup ??

accuair just got back with me and said they will work , they just push in and lock in just like the plastic lines, they said the copper is soft enough for the fitting to bite into in but stainless would just slide out !! i am pumped now i can do my hardlines without costing a fortune !!

Could you use aluminum fuel line? Summit sells that pretty reasonably priced.

Assuming it's the same OD, aluminum should work just fine- MUCH cheaper, too...

Re: copper lines with accuair setup ??

yes, use aluminum fuel line. i got it from summit racing, made by moroso. i use the thin wall line on my projects, you can also get it in heavier wall. The stuff bends nice and does not work harden like the copper over time. Once you use it you will not use anything else. And yes, it will hold the pressure just fine..... I know this will come up.

Re: copper lines with accuair setup ??

That is even better, I love working with the aluminum line, I have used quite a bit on my build. I need to look into doing this the next time I upgrade my air ride. (again!)

How did you go from the valve block to your stainless lines?

Re: copper lines with accuair setup ??

This is GREAT! I really didn't want to run the DOT plastic tubing for my setup. It looks like I'll be ordering some aluminum line too! Thanks Guys!
