Man that is sweet!

Are you going to stick with the 77 only gold paint on the trim?

Well that's a good question. I was going to paint the trim the gold two tone color but after going through my trim and seeing that i don't have all of it and some of it is in bad shape, i think i will buy all new trim and stay with black. I think black will be a good contrast between the two colors?

Agreed. Black would be nice contrast to the 2 main colors & would look better vs. the Sandstone or 77-Gold option. The assembled bed looks awesome! You're really banging this out.

I could only wish my stuff went so fast....

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

It's coming along pretty nice! Can't wait to see the finished product

BTW, the power burb doors are cool to have. I swapped a set on my '78 K10 I see in a few pics you have the newer style mirrors, you gonna keep them or swap 'em out in favor for the older style mirrors?

Thanks.

I ended up swapping over all the power to my doors. For waht ever reason the burb doors fit like crap.
On the mirriors i decided to use the newer mirrors and moving them foward on the door. They block the vent window but they look alot better. I will post a pic of one that i had mocked up.

Thanks. I thought turned out nice, and it still needs to be color sanded and buffed.

Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"

Here's some pics of the mirror moved up on the door. I got the idea from another thread on here. I don't like the way these mirrors look in the stock location but i think they look good here and i still have power mirrors.
What do yall think?

For 'big' mirrors, I like them. I still prefer the small 'sport' mirrors & wish they could be useful w/a big truck.

I agree on the sport mirrors. The good thing with these late mirrors is they are electric and you can see better with them.

I hated them in the stock location but i saw them on a Hills truck moved foward and thought they looked great.

Wow, that gives me an idea for my Burb doors! The mirrors look better farther up than stock...

Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"

The big brown truck dropped off a couple of boxes of trim for the cab & bed last night.
I have one more door about ready for primer. This weekend i am going to bring the truck to the shop here at work and start stripping the cab. I would like for the cab to be the next thing painted.
More pics later.

Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"

I got my wheels back from the powder coater today. They were suppose to be coated silver, but they came out with a little bit of a gold tint to them. It almost matches the color of the two tone.
I don't normally like wheels hat are body color, but these i think are going to look good.
