sky-manufacturing spring hanger drop kit

So im wantint 12" of sus lift total. im gonna do 8 inch lift spring rear with the shackle flip. for the front im thinking about using sky manufacturings spring hanger drop kit which will give me 4 inches and 52" rear 4" lift springs on the front which should give me my eight if im correct since a stock height rear 52" spring on the front will give 4". was wondering if anyone has done this or has used that kit from sky. any thoughts or info would be great.

Re: sky-manufacturing spring hanger drop kit

As far as running 8 inch springs with a shackle flip I'd check out ORD web site if you allready havn't. They say to run the 2.5 flip with a 6 inch shackle so the deep arched springs dont flip forward or back when extended under a load. When I did my shackle flip for 8 inches of lift it moved my rear axle forward quite a bit so I built zero rate blocks with off set pins to move it back. You can buy these from ORD and I think Sky makes them too. If I go any higher with mine I think Im going to build new rear end front hangers to drop them down so the axle stays centered.
I was thinking of using the same kit for the front of my truck too, I'd like a couple more inches so I can run 42s. I want to change out my hay wagon springs for some soft ride 6 inch springs plus the kit for a total of ten inches.
My roommate purchaced the Sas kit from Sky and I was very impressed with there quality, peaces are keyed into each other so they can't move. I'll prop end up copying theres and building my own cause I'm cheep like that, hahaha.

Hope this helps.
