77 c10 (went from a inline 6 to 350) (converted to 3 speed in the floor)
350: mild cam, holley 600cfm 4bbl, summit stage 1 intake, accel billet distributer, flowtech headers, 2 1/4" exhaust with glasspacks, powermaster 160a alternator.

Just want to jump in and ask how low could one go and still run a 275/60 or 295/50 on a 15x10w wheel on the front?

Not very low with the 275/60/15. That tires is 28" tall, and the stock fender liner is going to rub. The 295/50/15 is only 26.6" tall, but the width on a 10 rim will cause issues as well.
