Re: ls turbo build
Got motor and trans installed today.... Went real easy and motor mounts worked perfect!!! So i don't have to cut or lengthen my 3.5" aluminum driveshaft.... Engine slides real easy with these mounts... Now i have to order the steam line kit that uses the fronts and rears and then order my pro flo xt intake and throttle body... But for now i can install my driveshaft, shifter, radiator and hydraboost unit..

Re: ls turbo build
Look at all the room in front of the engine... Turbo should be fairly easy

Re: ls turbo build
It looks great! I wouldn't move it at all. Leaves plenty of room to reach around and lots of clearance for that tall intake manifold. That thing is clean!

Re: ls turbo build
Haven't posted in a while, just trying to save for the new baby coming in early may. But i did order a ron francis wiring kit that came in today, that should keep me busy for a little while. I cut all the old wiring out of the truck, man what a mess lol....

Re: ls turbo build
Hey stranger, I just found this thread. I didn't know you were hiding over here in the LS section. Man your are kicking this up a big notch! That engine looks awesome in there. I will have to come over and check it out sometime.
On another note, I saw in the okie summer meet thread about your wifes due date and mine is due the same time..

Re: ls turbo build
Not sure yet. I'm moving the ac compressor up towards the top and i need to make sure the headers or a log style manifold will miss the ac compressor...

Re: ls turbo build
Ive been looking at that, but needs to be a t6 flange. And i think the turbo would be sitting to close or in the way of the ac compressor. Unless i move it to the driverside?

That will place the turbo in the exact same spot the AC compressor when using the Kwik Performance/Vintage Air bracket. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: ls turbo build
bw s475 t6 flange. Ill look into a ac bracket that will hold the ac compressor mid mount...

Re: ls turbo build
Easier said than done. Have you actually set the turbo in between the engine and radiator? I have. It didn't fit.
