48 chevy pickup body to s10 frame

I am putting my 1948 chevy truck body on a s10 frame. and i am building my own body mounts. but my question is does anyone know the measurements on where the body would sit on the frame. so if someone could please help me i would greatly appreciate it alot. and thanks for reading

I dont think there is anything written in stone on where the body should sit on the frame. What i did and i believe most people are doing is just get the body on the s-10 frame where you like it (height wise) and just center the body side to side and the front wheels in the fenders. Something you might want to take into consideration is that the lower you mount the body to the frame the bigger the tranny hump / drive shaft tunnel is going to be. Here is a few pics of my '49 sittin on an s-10 that i'm working on.

mine is on an 88 s10 frame. Im running a 1988 pontiac formula 3.42 posi rearend.

Im running a 9 inch ford with disc brakes that has been cut down.

rollinrooster- how high does ur cab sit off the frame? and did you do a suspension drop too? what size wheels are you running

Mine is on a '85 S10 no bags and I placed pieces of 4x4 blocks between the cab and frame to mock up my mounts.

Nothing special just a 88' S10 4x4 w/ 3:42 gears, plan on getting a posi set up down the road.

My cab is around 3 1/2 inches of the frame. As for suspension i'm running a 9 inch ford with a 4-link on bags in the rear and 2" blazer spindles in front with 13" rotors and air bags. I'm not sure how to link you to my build thread but you can search it by using my forum name (rollinrooster)
