On 12/2/2011(Friday) I got my 3" in/3" out Summit Street/Strip Muffler installed on the 88. Sounds super deep and beasty. AND SMOOTH!

Re: what did you get done 12/4/2011 edition
Found a jack that goes under the hook after i complained about them being impossible to find. Turns out to have to look in the truck on an Eclipse (go figure). Also, got the Door Pins and Bushing installed on both sides and put new strikers on it. Wow, doors shut great now. Finally got around to installing the Selector Valve so i can run both ranks now. While i was at it, i replaced all rubber hoses with Injection Grade hoses. Also while at the U Pull It, got misc bolts and screws that were missing from the head light bezels, grill and front fenders. Wrapped up the day building the wiring harness which was 8 injector plugs and TPS plug to go on the Fuel Injection project that i am going to install in two weeks.
One day of work done this weekend, been raining all day.

Cleaned up the inside, washed the outside and peeled all the old trim off the outsid as part of it was already missing. Made truck look a lot plainer with out the chrome strips on it

Re: what did you get done 12/4/2011 edition
Got the ACC foil baked EVA insulation kit and new ACC carpet cut/trimmed and installed with all new door sill trim pieces on the Crew Cab and attempted to get the A.I.R. Tubes threaded in to the new exhaust manifolds (with no luck!!!) so I can button up everything and finally go smog and register it so I can finally start driving it!
I also got the NOS 25017375 tach gauge case all trimmed and painted and assembled so once I get the last of the wiring issues figured out, I can put the dash all back together too! Posted via Mobile Device

Mounted up my snow plow on to the crew and started cleaning the garage, so I can park the step side in there for the winter.

Re: what did you get done 12/4/2011 edition
Cleaned out my shed to eliminate the possibility of death by tripping. Found lots of parts I had tucked away........Complete factory electric door lock system, power window regulators and motors, NOS 73-80 Hood, just to mention a few. Looks like the Heap is getting a "power" upgrade over the winter. LOL
Also made the annual trip to Walmart for Christmas lights. I've found that starting the light job with new lights causes less stress in my life.

Re: what did you get done 12/4/2011 edition
Replaced all seals in my sliding rear window, tought it would be easy but it took most of the day. Had a hard time geting the corner trim pieces in, ended up with damges on bouth so I have to order new ones.
Discovered that I have to rebuild the back of my exhaust to fit a rear swaybar on the truck. I want a dual system, so it will have to wait until the finanses have recovered after x-mas.

Found my headers are too tall for a lowered truck I put my grant billet steering wheel adapter on just to find that along with my shortened column the steering wheel is way far forward! My brother and I also put some 2.25" thrush welded mufflers on. Kind of loud, need to figure that out now. That's about all I accomplished besides getting my big truck a much needed bath! Re: what did you get done 12/4/2011 edition
My wife pulled her woodworking project out of my barn so finally had room to move stuff around. Started the 77 and let it run for an hour, still have issues with the high idle cam sticking and a serious rear main seal leak, but I did drive it around the mile block. Let it run while I put my red block 6.2 under the pallet rack since I'm not going to work on it (note to self - next time that shelf is empty raise it 2 notches). That let me put the 77 next to the 82 body, then the Allis tractor and the L6 250 I'm currently working on next to it. Then I got the 87 diesel to start, drove it around the block (the rear brake lock up did not cure itself over the past month). Parked it in the barn and jammed the Case tractor next to it. So now have 5 pallet racks, a full end wall rack of building material, 3 trucks and 2 tractors in the barn, and still can walk around a bit. I'd like to put the other truck and the spare frame in but the wife wants the tractor in there instead. Maybe next year.
Took Sunday off as I was a hurtin'. Jammed my neck, sinus pressure, and the rotator cuff was unhappy.

I didn't get anything done to my truck in the last few weeks other than driving it. Need to fix the cab mount problem I have (it's missing) so my cab moves all around on the frame when I hit bumps.

I got it all polished and waxed n detailed this weekend. thats about all. other than retuning the thing for all these big temperature swings. 20 degrees one day and 80 degrees the next. so it basically runs like crap all the time now. need me some EFI.

Re: what did you get done 12/4/2011 edition
How do you access the studs/screws that hold the tailgate band on? I didn't think you could get inside the tailgate. I'm looking at installing a tailgate band on my tailgate that didn't originally come with one.

Re: what did you get done 12/4/2011 edition
1st pic shows just how far forward the wheel is now with the grant billet adapter on the shortened column. Shifter touches it but doesn't affect it. Didn't realize the billet one os shorter. Supposedly there is a longer one out there.
Second pic shows the billet chevy horn button I failed to mention I added Posted via Mobile Device
