Newbie from NC

Hey guys, newbie here just saying hey and was gonna tell you all a bit about myself and my new to me truck. I graduated from NTI (Nascar Technical Institute)in '05, worked for a benz dealer for a few years, took some time off and went to South Africa to work for a Toyota rally racing team for bout 6 months, now I'm back and just livin life.
My truck 79 C-10 long wheel base, 2wd, w/ turbo 350, 305 w/ 4 barrel q-jet, holly contender intake, long tube headers, flowmasters, HEI.
What I'm wanting to do: 383 vortec swap, lower not slammed but a good low stance, flat black paint, black w/ red trimmed interior, pretty much rat rod style. All go and a little show.
I just bought the truck a month or so ago, and I'm loving it, for $1200. I have had many chevy's in the past including a 02 camaro LS1, 84 K5 military issue blazer w/6.2 diesel turbo'd, 8" lift 39.5's, and a 99 silverado std cab short wheel base 5.3, 4" lift 35's. That's bout it for now. Glad to be part of the site, thanks guys.

Re: Newbie from NC

welcome to the site. I thought about going to that school a while ago. How did you like it? Any chance of ending up on one of the teams?
