C notch air bags

hi all , maybe a stupid question, but can you mount your air bags between the diff and bottom of the c notch on 1990c1500. Just setting mine up, running 8inch notches and hopeing this will work as i want to run big rubber and the bags between the notchs wont get in the way of shocks and paralle 4 link brackets. any photos would help thanks

You can move the bags to the inside of the frame rails. Use mounts that hang off the rear axle tubes & build an upper bag mount x-member that's tied to the frame rails.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Thanks scoti, still not really understanding how it all works. Any chance of sending drawing or diagrams on where and how it all sits thanks.

Re: C notch air bags

Here's one I have on my laptop. Notice the tapered/rolling sleeve style bags sit directly on top of the axle tubes & the top crossmember doubles also locates the upper bag mounts. Your 4-bar set-up would be a slightly different suspension type but basically the same set-up packaging wise....

Re: C notch air bags

so where abouts do the shocks go , still can't see why can't put bags between the axles and the underside of the c notch ,or won't the bag have enough room to fully deflate when in slam position.

You can put the bags between the c-notch & rear axle tubes but the height of the bags will defeat the purpose of the step notch.

No, nobody I personally know. Looking @ the tire tread though, I'm gonna guess 24x15's w/Pirelli 405-25-24's.
