what do you guys think?

my k car when for a **** lastnight and it isnt worth fixing, i need another beater to last me to spring and i just got back from looking at a 68 chevy long step, it had a decent front clip, the top of the cab was perfect, no rust above the window or anything, the rockers were gone, cab corners looked okay but had bondo cracks, the step on the pass side was solid, drivers side was rusted out where it bolted to fender, fenders okay, had bondo too and tailgate was presentable...it has a strong 350 with a 2 bbl, and a farmer 4spd, he just put new exhaust on it, has a couple bottles..its faily loud. oh and the doors dont have any holes but are rusty, he wants 1500 bucks. im trying to decide if its worth picking up...id probably, give it a shot with the orbital sander at my dads and give it a spray bomb job, might be kinda fun...its got slotted alum mags too which is cool, i can see it being a fun truck till my 67 is done..it just sucks cause i hate rust...k im done rambling...should i be all over this?

Don't know what the Candian/American rate is...but it sounds about right. Your looking at a much higher gas bill than the old K car though.

if you told me this a week ago i could have given ya one of two beaters for $50 each we sent em to the boneyard both ran one was an 89 grand prix the other was a geo metro ( that one needed some chassis welding but it ran and drove
as for the truck i think youll have trouble using that as a beater id look for something better gas it dont pay to put a junkyard tranny in the k car? thats prolly the cheapest way to go

that looks pretty clean for 18 hun, try and jew him down, that would make a nice daily driver. that green is pretty wild but I'm sure you would get use to it, but just watch you don't fall into the trap of starting to fix up the new truck, while the other one isn't done, I've done that, just a bit off the topic, speaking of another project, you haven't seen that white 67 acadian canso around town have you I'd like to find out who own that

The green is pretty cool reminds me of the BF Goodwrich tire ads in the magazines. They have had a couple cars that color

Definetly lots of sweet rides out there this summer. I don't know how many of these trucks I've seen, that just AWESOME!

Acutally, I was sitting in traffic the yesterday, and there was this 80's Ford Bronco sitting in front of me, but there was something about this vehicle that was bothering me. I kept looking, and finally realized that the thing that was out of place was that it had a dually axle stuffed under the rear!!! This thing looked fugly, in a way, BUT also kind of unique.

Anyway - here's to summer and all the nice rides:
